Interaction on Nepali tourism and investment


The Embassy organized an interaction on Nepali tourism and investment at Himalaya Cooking Handelsbolag, 41113, Gothenberg, Sweden on 25 February 2019. Swedish and Nepali businesspersons, possible investors were invited in the programme. While speaking on the occasion H. E. Yuba Nath Lamsal, Ambassador of Nepal to Denmark and non-resident Ambassador of Nepal to Sweden highlighted the current favorable situation of Nepal for foreign investment and requested to the participants to take part in Nepal Investment Summit to be held in Kathmandu from 29 to 30 February 2019. While mentioning Nepal’s successful peace process, major features of constitution of Nepal and other investment related laws, the Ambassador stated that it is an appropriate time to invest in Nepal. He also highlighted about Nepal’s tourism attraction. Mr. Dornath Aryal, Minister Counsellor made presentation on tourism and investment. About 55 persons took part in the programme.

A separate interaction among Nepali entrepreneurs was also organized. The Ambassador requested them to take part in forthcoming Investment Summit and encouraged them to invest in Nepal. He responded various questions raised by them. After formal programme tourism video was played and Nepali dinner was served.

In the afternoon, on 25 February, H. E. Yuba Nath Lamsal met with Mr. Hansorn, President, Contrans, AB and Mr. Henning Pipkorn who are willing to invest in Nepal in transportation sector. The Ambassador assured them to extend all needful cooperation and requested them to take part in Nepal Investment Summit.
